Summer Activities

Good Morning from Maine!

I was awake at five, despite the fact that I don't have to work until later today. That's okay, because I like to use that quiet morning time to catch up on my thoughts and plan all things that I need to get done for the week ahead. And what a list I've got this week since we leave next weekend to take my daughter back to college in Pennsylvania!

It's was also my birthday on Friday. The flowers above were a wonderful, thoughtful gift from my daughter's boyfriend, Joe. It was so kind of him to think of me. After breakfast at our favorite local spot, we decided to spend some time in Boothbay Harbor looking in shop windows and watching the boats come in and out of the harbor. Boothbay is absolutely beautiful this time of year. It's a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the drive and getting through the traffic in Wiscassett. If you've driven Route 1 in Maine in the summer then you know what I'm talking about.

So, what's on my list for this week? A ton of laundry as we get Tori packed up to head to college. I've got some great lamps I found at the thrift store for her new dorm room. She'll have a little more space with a single room this year. And I wanted to get all of my great vintage finds I've been squirreling away photographed and added to my Etsy Store. Lots and lots to do. Did I mention I also have a book to proof this week and another to be hard at work on? Ohhhhhhh! And son picked up his football gear yesterday so practices start as soon as we return from Pennsylvania! Going to be hectic, but well worth it.

I should also mention that there are changes coming for Cranberry Horn Vintage. Nothing huge, just a few more upgrades and visual changes I need to make. My vision is changing as I learn more (thanks to the great bloggers out there). It's a work of my heart and a work in progress. Thanks for stopping by...
